Abstract
⺠We studied the amount of boron in Norway spruce stands in eastern Finland. ⺠Amount of boron in trees and surface soil was in total 0.9-2.5 kg haâ1. ⺠Soil, especially mineral soil, seemed to be the most important site of boron storage. ⺠Boron fertilisation nearly doubled the amount of boron in the ecosystem. ⺠Only 38% of fertiliser B (2 kg haâ1) was in the ecosystem components studied.
