Abstract
A new Camarotella species found in Antioquia, Colombia on wax palm (Ceroxylon quindiuense) is here described and illustrated. Camarotella colombiana sp. nov., is distinguished from the other congeneric species by 3 to 5 strongly elongated from 337.5 to 765 μm ascomata, within the stromata, asci uniseriate to biseriate, not triseriate, and ascospores wider than 12.5 μm, surrounded by a regular mucilaginous sheath.
