Abstract
Spraying growth regulators on plants is one of the most effective factors on its growth and development. The goal of this study was to improve productivity and quality of carnation (Dianthus caryophyllus L.) in severe environmental conditions. A positive influence of salicylic acid 90â¯mgâ¯Lâ1 on total number of flowers per m2 and number of flowers per greenhouse 200â¯m2 were observed: 412 flowers per m2 and 81,064 flowers per greenhouse as compared to the control treatment 308.33 flowers per m2 and 57,796 flowers per greenhouse. The total cost of one greenhouse production (504â¯m2 area) reached to 4019.8 US $. All the treatments got high flower productivity compared with control treatment. Salicylic acid 90â¯mgâ¯Lâ1 achieved highest net returns depends on variable cost 5567.84 $/greenhouse.
