Abstract
- Ambient temperature had significant influence on starch biosynthesis enzymes and composition of starch in wheat grains.
- Amylopectin to amylose ratio was altered in WH 730 but not in K 7903 and RAJ 4014 under late sown condition.
- Amylopectin to amylose ratio was reduced from 3.0 under normal condition to 1.9 under late sown condition in WH 730.
- This study offers an alternative approach to alter starch composition by growing wheat crop at desirable temperature ranges.
