Abstract
Many horses showed an apparent ease from pain of trauma within 2 to 5 days of treatment. A debriding effect was seen in which Dermatophilus-infected skin was sloughed from the body in 3 to 4 days. In treatment of foot trauma, sole structure became more defined and heels became less inflamed, this being attributed to the lower pH chemically separating necrotic from healthy tissue.
