Abstract
ABS team members with formal authority and dedicated time for antibiotic stewardship activities effectively optimize antiinfective therapies by reviewing antibiotic prescriptions. The interaction of ABS experts and attending physicians contributes fundamentally to the effectiveness and degree of implementation of ABS interventions.
