ZusammenfassungDie Ressourcenknappheit im Gesundheitswesen führt aktuell zu einer impliziten Mittelverteilung. Dies birgt nicht zuletzt haftungsrechtliche Gefahren für den behandelnden Arzt. Einen Lösungsansatz bietet die Priorisierung medizinischer Leistungen, die zu einer gerechteren Verteilung der knappen Ressourcen beitragen kann. Doch müssen auf dem Weg zur Umsetzung eines priorisierenden Systems die Kriterien zur Aufstellung einer Rangordnung im Einzelnen insbesondere verfassungsrechtlich abgesichert und eine Vielzahl noch offener Fragen beantwortet werden. Dies erfordert einen offenen gesellschaftspolitischen Diskurs.
