Abstract
⺠Four different i-type lysozyme genes from the mussel were identified. ⺠i-type lysozyme genes may undergo a purifying evolution. ⺠Some branches undergo rapid evolution. ⺠HcLyso1-HcLyso4 were downregulated by bacterial challenge.
