Abstract
A recombinant allophycocyanin trimer was successfully immobilized on a mesoporous TiO2 electrode. The formation of the immobilized surface was confirmed by multilayer adsorption of protein complexes. The key biophotovoltaic parameters were obtained, which showed that the recombinant allophycocyanin trimer could be a candidate for photosensitizer materials. The values of short-circuit current, open-circuit voltage, fill factor, and conversion efficiency were up to 0.73 mA/cm2, 0.52 V, 0.69, and 0.26%, respectively.
