Abstract
⺠An antioxidant MrPrdx gene from Macrobrachium rosenbergii has been identified. ⺠MrPrdx has been characterized at molecular level. ⺠MrPrdx contains a thioredoxin domain along with the signature motifs. ⺠Gene expression was stimulated with virus and is up-regulated in gills. ⺠A peroxidise activity assays were conducted using recombinant MrPrdx protein.
