Abstract
Observational clinical experiences can provide nursing students with many opportunities for active learning and participation; however, with limited faculty contact, students may not actively participate in opportunities that are available. A Perioperative Clinical Worksheet has been developed and is used in an Associate Degree in Nursing Program. An evaluation of the educational tool has indicated that it is effective in promoting active learning in the observational setting.
