Abstract
The National League of Nursing began requiring schools of nursing to implement professional portfolios in an effort to integrate theory, to demonstrate the mastery of curriculum and skills, and to enhance the assessment process. The purpose of this study was to determine the usefulness of professional portfolios in the hiring process of associate degree nurses. Survey questionnaires were used and analyzed using Statistical Program for the Social Sciences.
