The food system “Made in Italy” represents an important element of Italian productions and exports and it is considered in the world as synonymous with quality.Sustainability of food productions is identified as a condition of the quality from new generations who are confronted with environmental, economic and social issues and the resulting certifications.Companies in the food system, operating in the territory of Campania region, are having to deal with the threat of relocation due to the current process of globalization and the socio-economic crisis that is going through.Following the “model of the five competitive forces of Porter”, the study focuses on the individuation of a group of campanian food companies operating in the wine, fruit and vegetables and rural tourism sectors, which represent the excellence of campanian productions, that have adopted environmental certification systems (for example ISO 14001, EMAS, ect.).Research is developed through a theoretical study and of databases, leading to the identification of a system of responsible companies which operating in a competitive and sustainable way in territory bringing direct and indirect benefits on it.
