Abstract
⺠Wild infected females produced more daughters than uninfected females in the lab. ⺠No difference was detected between wild infected and uninfected females for size. ⺠Infected and uninfected flies from the Canton-S strain did not differ in viability. ⺠Infected Canton-S flies had faster development probably due to reduced competition.
