β-Cyclodextrin as a supramolecular catalyst for the synthesis of 2H-indazolo[2,1-b]phthalazine-trione derivatives in water and their antimicrobial activities

A mild and environmentally benign protocol was developed using β‐cyclodextrins as a catalyst to significantly improve the yield of 2H-indazolo[2,1-b]phthalazine-trione derivatives. The β‐cyclodextrin employed in the multi-component reaction satisfies the requirements for green chemistry.
