Abstract
The work represents synthesis of a novel α-Fe2O3 immobilized ionic liquid tribromide. It is used as magnetically recoverable catalyst in three-component one-pot reaction of aldehyde, amine and 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds affording functionalized piperidines.
