Abstract
⺠We tested whether realistic ozone and soil water stress slow stomatal dynamics. ⺠Both ozone exposure and water stress caused stomata to be sluggish. ⺠At steady-state, water-stress protected from the negative ozone effects. ⺠Complex static and dynamic stomatal responses to ozone and drought arise.
