Abstract
⺠Ascosphaera fungi cause chalkbrood disease in several bee species. ⺠We use up to six loci to generate phylogenies for Ascosphaera species. ⺠Using all six loci results in the best supported phylogeny. ⺠Pathogenic and apathogenic Ascosphaera cluster together in our phylogenies. ⺠With further study, Ascosphaera may be paraphylectic.
