► IJs of Heterorhabditis baujardi did not affect embryogenic development of Meloidogyne mayaguensis. ► IJs of H. baujardi affected eclosion of M. mayaguensis. ► The effect in eclosion is related to concentration of Photorhabdus luminescens in the medium.
