Abstract
⺠Lygus lineolaris virus 1 (LyLV-1) is a positive-sense single-stranded RNA virus. ⺠Genomic polypeptide was 44.4% similar to that of sacbrood virus of the honey bee. ⺠Genome organization resembles that of the viruses in genus Iflavirus. ⺠Virus replication was detected in the fat body tissues of L. lineolaris. ⺠LyLV-1 is 39 nm in diameter and exhibits transovarial transmission.
