Abstract
⺠Exposure to biocides increased biocide and antibiotic tolerance in Campylobacter. ⺠Developed resistance was partially stable in biocide-free medium. ⺠More than one type of active efflux was identified in adapted strains. ⺠Adapted strains showed different alterations of outer membrane protein profiles. ⺠Adaptation resulted in morphological changes in bacterial cells.
