Abstract
⺠1-step and traditional 2-step model fitting methods are compared. ⺠1-step fitting is better in every way. ⺠1-step fitting is possible whenever 2-step fitting can be used, and sometimes when it cannot. ⺠Modern computers make 1-step fitting straightforward. ⺠1-step should replace 2-step as the normal fitting method.
