Abstract
⺠Imported farm-raised shrimp is a reservoir of multiple antibiotic resistant Klebsiella spp. ⺠These isolates are resistant to fluoroquinolone and tetracycline antibiotics. ⺠Fluoroquinolone resistance was detected in the quinolone resistant determining region ⺠(QRDR). ⺠Among tetracycline resistant genes, the isolates harbored tetB and tetD. ⺠Molecular techniques such as plasmid profile and PFGE were used to further characterize the isolates.
