Abstract
⺠The influence of light on fumonisin biosynthesis by F. proliferatum was analyzed. ⺠Light had a positive influence on growth and on fumonisins B1 and B2 production. ⺠There is a correlation between fumonisin production and FUM1 gene expression. ⺠These findings show a role of light on the regulation of fumonisin biosynthesis.
