Abstract
► Development of qPCR tests based on otanpsPN gene to quantify ocratoxin A-producing molds. ► No inhibition effect was observed due to the different food matrices and qPCR methodology used. ► The SYBR Green and TaqMan qPCR developed showed high sensitivity in foods detecting from 1 to 10 conidia/g. ► The qPCR developed should be used to monitor OTA-producing molds in foods.
