Abstract
⺠Epidemic spread of S. Kentucky was observed in non-diseased turkeys. ⺠Clonally related isolates were also found in foods and municipal savage. ⺠Multiresistance covered antimicrobials critically important for human treatment. ⺠The first animal-related, ESBL-producing (CTX-M) Salmonella was reported in Poland. ⺠The detected epidemic in turkey flocks may reflect on the adverse food safety effect.
