Abstract
⺠Cooking energy use is affected by energy source, appliance, and consumer practices. ⺠More efficient appliances-although technologically feasible-may not be economical. ⺠Some countries have implemented policies to effectively reduce standby energy use. ⺠Enhancing consumer awareness may be the most effective tactic to reduce energy use.
