Abstract
⺠We examine the impact of improved agricultural technologies on household welfare. ⺠We use cross-sectional survey data collected from Ethiopia and Tanzania. ⺠Endogenous switching regression is used to correct for unobservable selection bias. ⺠Adoptions of improved varieties have had a significant positive impact on welfare. ⺠Access to seed, information, and perception are key constraints for adoption.
