Abstract
⺠Farmers markets in rural communities can improve nutritional food access. ⺠Model of vendor performance identifies important factors for market sustainability. ⺠Policy interventions should consider establishing larger, centrally located markets. ⺠Product and vendor variety and innovative promotion improves vendor performance. ⺠Innovative approaches are needed to better target underserved, low-income residents.
