Abstract
⺠Technologies aimed at cleaning contaminated meat represent a dilemma to the public. ⺠Risk reduction strategies perceived as more natural are more acceptable to the public. ⺠The public expects safe meat but dislikes most risk reduction strategies. ⺠Technologies decontaminating meat face a dilemma between acceptance and efficiency.
