Abstract
⺠Double-fortified salt is helpful where anemia is high, and fortification of cereals not easy. ⺠A survey of seven trials found anemia improved in six cases using double-fortified salt. ⺠The benefit:cost ratio for double-fortified salt in India is estimated as 2.4:1. ⺠Double-fortified salt is not the complete solution, but can be a component of the solution.
