Abstract
⺠We determined American's political ideologies in relation to food. ⺠Most people were “food statists,” desiring more food and agricultural regulation relative to the status quo. ⺠Additional regulations related to food safety were most desired. ⺠Food ideology represents a unique construct separate from general political ideology. ⺠Food ideology is related to general attitudes toward food.
