Abstract
⺠Widespread migration in Ghana does not substantially affect food expenditure levels or patterns. ⺠Migration increases food expenditures in high migration areas, primarily on less nutritious foods. ⺠Results suggest limited tangible impacts of migration on the consumption of the poor. ⺠Facilitating the transmission of remittances would boost food security benefits of migration. ⺠Better data is required to assess the link between migration and nutrition or food security.
