Abstract
•Different concentrations of MWCNTs were used to prepare cement nanocomposites.•MWCNTs improved the dielectric and piezoelectric properties of cement mortar.•MWCNTs could decrease the volume of pores of cement structure.
MWCNTs samples were characterised by High-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) and Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) to measure the particle size and surface area of the samples, respectively. In this study, three different nanocomposites were prepared with MWCNTs to cement ratios of 0.3%, 0.7% and 1% by weight. The enhancement of the dielectric and piezoelectric properties of cement composites was achieved.
