Abstract
⺠Duroc-crossbred boars were slaughtered in two abattoirs. ⺠Different scalding technologies were compared. ⺠Neither scalding technology affected androstenone, skatole or indole in backfat. ⺠Frequency of tainted carcasses is discussed with respect to consumer studies.
