Abstract
► High prevalence of ESBL-producing Enterobacteriaceae found in meat products in Spain. ► Prevalence of ESBL-producing Enterobacteriaceae in poultry products was higher. ► High MICs for cefpodoxime, cefotaxime, ceftazidime and aztreonam were found. ► The predominant ESBL-type was CTX-M 14, followed by TEM+CTX-M.
