Abstract
⺠Low-protein intake worsens cisplatin, 5-fluorouracil and mitomycin C gastrotoxicity. ⺠Protein malnutrition enhances metabolic activation of cisplatin in rat stomach. ⺠Malnutrition enhances cysteine conjugate β-lyase-mediated metabolism of cisplatin. ⺠Protein malnutrition reduces the elimination of 5-fluorouracil in rat stomach. ⺠Protein malnutrition enhances 2-electron reduction of mitomycin C in rat stomach.
