Abstract
► We assessed DNA protection of casearin B. ► We assessed antioxidant activity of casearin B against ROS produced by H2O2. ► We used comet assay, Ames test and antioxidant DCFDA assay. ► Casearin B protected DNA against damage in HepG2 and in S. typhimurium. ► Casearin B was antioxidant against ROS produced by H2O2 in HepG2 cells.
