Abstract
► The total flavonoids (TFs) showed obvious preventing effects on CCl4-induced acute liver injury in mice. ► TFs inhibited the production of free radicals. ► TFs improved nuclear and mitochondrial injury caused by CCl4. ► TFs decreased the incidence of inflammation and apoptosis in CCl4-treated liver.
