Abstract
⺠We study the interaction of caffeic acid and rosmarinic acid in Perilla frutescens. ⺠Both compounds modulate hepatic GSH synthesis and protect against oxidative damage. ⺠Caffeic acid plays an important role in the increased hepatic GSH concentration. ⺠Caffeic acid shows additive hepatic protection with rosmarinic acid.
