Abstract
⺠The trace element composition of dog foods has been determined and compared to published data. ⺠Simulated gastric digestions suggest lower bioavailability than that determined by conventional acid digestion. ⺠In general trace element compositions are consistent with animal nutrition and background elemental compositions.
