Abstract
⺠Reynoutria elliptica protected oxidative stress-induced retinal ganglion cells death. ⺠8-Hydroxycalamenene attenuated apoptotic proteins induced by BSO plus glutamate. ⺠8-Hydroxycalamenene stimulated glutathione and glutathione S-transferase activity. ⺠8-Hydroxycalamenene restored the reduced mitochondrial membrane potential. ⺠8-Hydroxycalamenene attenuated NMDA-induced retinal degeneration in rats.
