Abstract
► Prenatal exposure to valproic acid (VPA) induces autistic symptoms and crooked tail in rodents. ► We examined administration of Korea red ginseng (KRG) may rescue the social impairment and crooked tail phenotype. ► KRG may inhibit reproductive toxicity and teratogenicity such as NTD in rodents. ► KRG inhibited hyperactivity induced by VPA in rat offsprings. ► KRG treatment improve deficits in social interaction in VPA-exposed group.
