Abstract
⺠The rhizomes of Drynaria quercifolia are used in Tamil Nadu to treat rheumatism. ⺠Treatment with D. quercifolia reduced the paw thickness of arthritic animals. ⺠The treatment reduced protein bound carbohydrates and urinary collagen levels. ⺠The treatment reduced the ROS and lysosomal enzyme levels in the neutrophils. ⺠The treatment reduced the levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines.
