Abstract
⺠Comparison between edible (PGJ) and non-edible (PGME) parts of pomegranate fruit. ⺠PGME exhibited much greater polyphenol content and antimicrobial activity than PGJ. ⺠First time demonstration: enhancement of ciprofloxacin activity by PGME. ⺠Ciprofloxacin-PGME combination is synergic against ESBL and MBL producing bacteria. ⺠A cost-effective way to combat global emergence of multi-drug resistant bacteria.
