Abstract
⺠Fresh mushrooms are very popular in Poland due to their use in traditional cuisine. ⺠We examine the content of chlorinated hydrocarbon in edible mushrooms from Poland. ⺠Mushrooms can be regarded as potential bioindicators of environment pollution. ⺠Mushrooms from Poland are an attractive foodstuff due to the low level of chlorinated hydrocarbons. ⺠The ability of mushrooms to accumulate DDT and γ-HCH depends on a variety of factors.
