Abstract
⺠The subchronic toxicity of dioscin in rats was investigated. ⺠Dioscin had slightly subchronic toxicity in the male rats. ⺠Body weight gains were significantly decreased in male groups. ⺠The NOAEL value of dioscin was estimated to be 300 mg/kg/day for female rats. ⺠The LOAEL value of dioscin was estimated to be 300 mg/kg/day for male rats.
