Abstract
► Alcohol-intake for 4 weeks produced liver tissue damage in rats. ► Camel's milk oral intake showed a protective as well as a curative effect against liver injury in alcohol-treated animals. ► The beneficial effect of camel's milk was mediated through its antioxidant action. ► An anti-inflammatory effect for camel's milk was shown. ► Apoptosis caused by alcohol treatment could be alleviated by camel's milk intake.
