Abstract
⺠We compare the antigenotoxicity of β-carotene and microencapsulated β-carotene. ⺠Two doses of each compound were evaluated. ⺠When microencapsulated, β-carotene did not lose its antigenotoxicity. ⺠A higher dose of the microencapsulated β-carotene should be used to retain its antigenotoxicity.
