Abstract
⺠Bioconversion of arsenicals from blue mussels was studied in this controlled trial. ⺠Up to 17 different urinary arsenicals were identified. ⺠The minor As species excreted have mostly unknown toxicological profiles. ⺠Thio-arsenicals accounted for 10% of the total As excreted. ⺠The metabolic pathway and intermediates to form the minor As species is unknown.
